ISHTA Founder and Tantric Master, Alan Finger holds the title Kavi Yogiraj and has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 50 years.
He has put countless people on the path of self-realization. Alan began studying yoga at the age of 16 with his father Mani Finger and renowned swamis of the past century.
Alan and Mani created ISHTA Yoga. The ISHTA style integrates breath-based flow yoga with alignment, meditation and healing bodywork. Before creating a home for ISHTA, Alan co-founded Yoga Zone, Be Yoga, and Yoga Works. Alan has authored several books and travels the world to share his teachings.
Sebastian Forsman is a ISHTA yoga teacher and has practised and studied Yoga and Meditation for over 20 years, and is a certified RYT 500 teacher.
With a background in competitive fencing, photography, and cognitive neuroscience, Sebastian incorporates multiple aspects of his interests into his teachings.
Originally trained in Ashtanga yoga, Sebastian met his current teacher, Alan Finger, in New York in 2013. Soon after, he moved to New York to teach, and to continue his studies with Alan as an ISHTA yoga teacher and a Marma practitioner.Today Sebastian lives in Stockholm, he teaches ISHTA classes, and retreats, frequently traveling to Alan's home in Florida.
Yogiraj Katrina Repka has been studying and teaching yoga for over 30 years. Her early training - in her hometown of Calgary, Canada - was in Ashtanga, but she moved to New York in 2001 and became immersed in the study of ISHTA yoga with Alan Finger.
Katrina has lived in London, England since 2006, and teaches ISHTA classes, workshops and retreats worldwide.
Katrina holds a BA and MSC (Communications), and is the co-author (with Alan Finger) and featured model of Chakra Yoga: Balancing Energy for Physical, Spiritual, and Mental Well-being, and Breathing Space: Twelve Lessons for the Modern Woman. She has been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Elle, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph, and as a yoga expert on BBC TV and radio.
